Parlassa part 4

Parlassa floated among the stars of the constellation the Apple, her body shimmering with impossible light. Just as she began to believe the dream would stretch on forever, a sharp sting yanked her back. She woke to the grit of a fly crawling across her eyeball, its legs scratching at her lids. Her heart jumped; the stars of her dream flickered and vanished, replaced by the grotesque, buzzing reality of the insect.
