Who’s in charge?” Amber Lee yelled, storming out of the Oval Office. Her fists were clenched, and her footsteps echoed sharply against the marble floor.

Her father, President Albert Lee, remained seated behind the Resolute Desk, fingers steepled beneath his chin. He didn’t move to follow her. A faint sigh escaped him, and he rubbed his temple, knowing she would return once her anger cooled.

The room felt unusually quiet after her departure, the tension lingering like smoke.
