| Long ago I was very small, I didn’t take up much space at all. Head over heels I could pose, Touch the floor with my nose. Now that I have grown some, My age begins to show some. My middle overhangs my toes, Tests the stretch of spandex clothes. But Time forever marches on, And the adipose will soon be gone. I will waste away to skin and bone, Then crumble to dust beneath a stone. Written for "Promptly Poetry - Book 3" Week #28 Write a poem about the past, present, future in that order.
