| Morning is an uncivilized chaos of jangling bells and tangled sheets, of muddled thoughts in a mottled world. One open eye is paradise lost. But come the shower, the brush-her and floss-her, the sun shines bright she’s done with night, away shoos the shadows and brews the tea. Order restored in a cup and saucer. Written for "Promptly Poetry Challenge (2025-2026)" Poem should be inspired by the image of an alarm clock and a cup and saucer. Line Count: minimum of 12, no max No form requirements. |
