| My toaster has a label: “Don’t use this in the bath” Suggesting that if I do so, I won’t like the aftermath. The matchbook cover cautions: “Use could result in fire” (a warning that seems unnecessary to even the dimmest buyer). “Don’t drink the drain cleaner!” “You could get stuck to glue!” But why was there no heads-up on the dangers of loving you? Written for "The Daily Poem " PROMPT: THINGS NOT SAID You may take this any way you choose, but it must clearly relate back to the prompt. You do not have to use the prompt wording in your poem, but you can if you like Your poem must be a minimum 10 lines, but not more than 12 lines. Your poem must have a minimum 5 words per line, but not more than 8 words per line. You may NOT use the following words in your poem: regret, unsaid, memory/memories/memoirs, whisper, or remember.
