went right ahead and did it anyway.

Look where it got you!
Attempting a logical explanation,
when there was no logic to your actions.

Don't just stand there, looking sheepish.
Don't remain silent. Say something!
Apologize and help clean up this mess.

Prompt: As cake is birthday-adjacent, and as Marie Antoinette famously did not say, "let them eat cake", today's prompt is: THINGS NOT SAID You may take this any way you choose, but it must clearly relate back to the prompt. You do not have to use the prompt wording in your poem, but you can if you like.
