The character is convinced he/she is being spied on.




Visitor

I type a few words, then got the feeling someone was watching me. A quick glance assured me I was alone. Tap, tap, tap as I typed more on my antique Smith Corona typewriter.

But I still have that feeling. I again glanced around the room. This time I get up, walk around, move the curtains, look out the windows, check the lock on the door, look under the bed. Nothing is out of the ordinary.

So back to the typewriter. Tap, tap, tap, ring the bell. Still that feeling. I even change the paper. Then out pops a mouse.
