"What shall we do? It's going to rain awhile."
"We could play 'Sorry!' - I won't be hostile,
and may not win" you say behind a smile.

We choose our colors - you, your normal red -
then mix the cards and, with a bit of dread,
we start to play (and wonder who you'll shred).

At first, restraint appears to fill the air,
but by and by we yield to dark despair
except for Jim, whose temper starts to flare.

We really don't mind losing games to you.
It's just that creepy cackle thing you do,
plus "Sorry, guys!"; we all know it's not true.
