Buck


He followed Dad all around the house,
sharp eyes watching the place get built.
He never fetched a tool, but
sat on a live wire once
and learned to look first:
that slightly singed
furry white
rascal,
Buck.

Prompt: Animals. The first week of May is "Be Kind to Animals Week!" You may write a poem about a pet, favorite animal, wild animals, etc.
