Places I Belong

Prompt: How many places have you felt you belonged? Write about them.

Lake Michigan. I love to go to Lake Michigan. I love the lake and watching the seagulls. Going shopping at the outside Mall near by is fun. I like the Kate Spade Store.

I guess living in the country is where I belong. I call it Hooterville after Green Acres. This is a small farm area. I lived in other places as a kid but always returned to Hooterville.

I thought I belonged at my job at the County Home. It changed to mental health and I had, had enough. It closed down and I think it was God's way of telling me it was time to retire. I did.

Being at Writing.com. I belong here. It is a sanctuary for me. I feel peace and have friends here and can write.

Church I go to. It is a small Church and my Great Great Grandfather started it so to speak. He was a minister. I feel at home there with God and the people.

Belonging is where a place makes you feel happy and safe. That is my thought on this.
