Write about being a square.

My son would think I was square but I used to pretend like we were Rock singers in a band. I would do Angus the guy in short pants from AC DC. We would pretend to be Def Leppard. We would pretend to be Prince. Sometimes, he would do dumb things like pin safety pins in his brand new jeans. Not cool! I would get after him. He would get a weird hair cut. He bleached his hair blonde. He would think I am a square. I didn't like the movies he watched. He liked burning candles. I just didn't get it. He is a Psychologist now so it worked out. Maybe I was a square but I don't think so. I thought my parents were square at times. It is a parent/child thing with all parents I think. I am reminded of the song: "It's Hip To Be Square". I followed that lead.
