| It’s an ordinary chair with a sturdy brocade made to withstand a thousand seatings. The fabric doesn’t show the spots that have been pawed, chewed and clawed by an undisciplined cat. This chair will last forever. I hate this chair. So, I hid it under a throw a very tasteful yardage of linen with a hint of ruffle that the cat hated and swore to destroy. But I was decided and did not waver even when the cat attacked and salivated clearly proving she could eat this slipcover (if she wanted to) And to prove her indifference to my pleadings She slipped under the cover coiled her body to preserve heat and waited in the dark for someone to come sit on her.
