Nuts. Really?
Well who’d have thought it? National nut day? I had to look it up and apparently it’s not about the neighbourhood nut job.
I haven’t a clue about this day. It has to be an American invention. We in Oz don’t have such a thing. However if I had to pick one nut as my favourite it would be a walnut.
Brazil nuts were a favourite when I lived in the UK, not so popular here. Our best known nut is the macadamia. They are delicious but very hard to crack. We even have a special cracker just for them. So if you get a chance to try these nuts, either in ice cream or chocolate, do yourself a favour.
