Milquetoast Discussion Summer's Riot
Summer's Riot

Dapper daisies with fresh open faces
engage the garden in all the right places.
Greeting any who might saunter by
with joyful expression and a satisfied sigh.

The iris withered in the summer heat
royally preparing for her spring repeat,
but leaves behind her blades of green
to keep her place in the season's scene.

And in her stead, all manner of flora rush
forth, a riot of color from the Creator's brush.
