Abrupt Disruption

Summer's TV shows
are spotty at best.
An occasional good one
grabs my attention
but mostly
there is nothing to watch that's new.
Plenty of time to read, write
         and take part in life.

This week
the Fall Season began
and I can't keep up.
Cliffhangers resolved,
          Ah no, she died?
          I love her, welcome back!
         Back and forth confusion.
New shows offered,
          Legal drama with a favorite.
         Weird yet captivating.
         Violent content blows up my TV.

No time to write a poem
and it shows,
its only Thursday
my DVR is full of unwatched shows.
I'll catch up this weekend.
