Melting Snow

What are my feelings about Memorial Day? I don't think we should say Happy Memorial Day because it is a day of remembrance for those women and men who gave their lives in battle. This includes those who were killed as a direct results of war, and those who committed suicide. Just because veterans take their own live after returning home doesn't mean they aren't a causalities of war. Just because homeless veterans freeze to death on a cold winter night, or die of heat stroke under a blazing summer sun, doesn't mean they aren't causalities of war.
