the basement's packed
Buddy at the front door

Red Bayou

Iridescent walking lies
monochrome suspicious eyes
New Orleans publicity
Mayor corrupt bright fight city

Music winds down time
Red Bayou, so lost the rhyme
Storm descends on Ponchetrain
Wind ferocious, so's the rain

Levees failed and that's a fact,
Can't hide from waters sweeping back
Let us down in our beliefs
Just "fly by" from commander-in-chief
