| The phone rings one night. I am at home in Marcus Hook, Pa with Mom and Dad. The phone is always for me, so I get up to answer it. It is Patti. She has been one of my best friends since I can remember. She says ” Marcy, guess what? I have a boyfriend. I could hear the excitement in her voice. “Really that’s great. What is his name?" “Sticky.” I bust out laughing. “What?" Patti starts laughing too. " Are you serious? Okay I am still laughing. "So, what else is new?” “Dawn and Pat and me and Sticky… I bust out laughing again…”I am so, sorry Patti, but that name strikes me funny for some reason. I am sure he has a real name. “He does, but I don’t know what it is.”,she says. Okay, I tell her, I will try not to laugh Lord help me! “Now, what were you saying about you and Dawn?” “We all go cruising after we pick up Sticky from work.” I hold back my laugh and say,"cool" hoping she can’t hear the giggle in my voice. “It sounds like you guys have fun” “My Mom and Dad say you can stay with me for the summer when college is over this semester. I will be working for City hall again. They called to see what date I would be available to start this season.” I told them I can start this coming Monday. Mom and Dad are bringing me down this Friday. I can't wait. “I am so excited! I can’t wait until you get here. I can’t wait until you meet Sticky and Pat. Pat is Dawn’s new boyfriend. Patti says. “ We better hang-up now it is long distance, you know.. Patti lives in cape May Court House with her Dad and Mom. I hang –up with a smile on my face. I am excited about going back to my summer job which I love. Wildwood is my favorite place in this world. I go to sleep dreaming and wondering about what this summer holds for me.
