A Just Shoot Me Day It’s a just shoot me day, you know what I mean; It’s the kind of day that occurs now and then When the universe decides that it hates you When the only thing that went right was the missed flight, That cancelled the business trip you loathed to take. It’s a just shoot me day, so stay home and play Chess with your alter ego, call into work Well. If someone ask for the true reason say: “It’s a just shoot me day and I’m still in bed.” Line count: 9 Form: The Hendecasyllabic – consists of eleven syllable lines and can be as long as the poet desires. |
