Count Up/ Count Down
Assignment
Write two poems, one using the count up form and one using the count down form. You are not allowed to write one poem and then reverse it, but you can use the same topic if you choose.

Your Love ( Count Up)
I
am glad
to love you
and will love you
till the end of life.
You have shone in my life
like a ever glowing lamp
and extending a firm promise
the light of which never decreases
and which is forever fortifying.

The Place of Dreams ( Count Down)
I want to go to a place where there are
trees with silver boughs and golden fruits,
large Elysian parks for children,
old people heave relief sighs,
nightingales sing sweetly,
lovers enjoy much,
no agony,
perfect mirth,
always,
life.
