Gardening
Prompt: Joy asked if we like gardening and if we are good with plants.

I don't like gardening. I would help my grandfather when I was little but I didn't do it right. I didn't have time to do a garden when I was working. I would help my mother snip beans and take peas out of the pods. Gardening wasn't for me. I only like peas and corn. I hate tomatoes. Zucchini. I never could get it to cook right. I buy vegetables in the store. Works for me.

I used to plant flowers with my husband's help. I loved flowers. You have to water them. A deer ate my plants once. Three times, they died and I had to replant them. Over the years, I quit planting flowers. I would buy the same old plants and flowers. I don't miss planting flowers. I appreciate the flowers that grow on my trees. I admire other people's flowers. I was a flower child years ago. We will leave it at that.
