Things that make you go hmmm...
I was looking at those rodent-repelling devices that you plug in the wall - you know, the ones that emit a high-pitched sound that humans can't hear.

And I wondered, if you can't hear it, how do you know when it's broken? In fact, how do you know it does anything other than flash that little red light? Has anybody ever held a mouse up to one to see if it claps its tiny paws over its ears?

A billion dollar industry and there's no way to find out if they work.

I think I smell a rat...
