My Longest Holidays Bodhisattwa Parekh When I was just twenty years old, I took my debit card with me after my final exam at graduation level and went on a long-term wandering from village to village to know the simplicity and poverty. My luggage was light. After a day's train travelling, I reached a village named 'Aura'. It was so far from town. I built a portable camp and bio-toilet there for my personal use. After evening, I did a mini-seminar with them. Gave advice for settlement if they raised the issue of dispute. So, they called me "Little Monk'. I settled there peacefully. Six months went happily. I thought of buying a house there for living the rest of my life. After five months, I received a letter. My maternal uncle passed away. I returned home again. After seeing my relatives' mournful faces, I decided to stay in my house with our joint family. Prompt ▶︎ |
