When people talk about copycat recipes, they usually mean recipes for foods they get in chain restaurants. Recipes for things like Kentucky Fried Chicken 11 herbs and spices is an example. I will however, try to mimic restaurant sauces, gravies, dips, dressings, and various condiments.
