I’ve made my share of mistakes,
Some of them are downright crimes.
I’m trying to be better,
But it’s just so freaking hard.
Making ends meet is tough,
When there’s not a lot of support.
Not all of us have families or friends,
At least not the kind you can lean on when it matters.
They say that every day is a new day,
And Lord knows that’s how I’m tryin’ to live.
But every day is hard and sometimes
The easy way out is all I’ve got.
Tomorrow is going to be a new day though,
Maybe that’s the day I’ll finally get it together.
