Saint Patrick's Day Acrostic Serpents banished by a saint so bold Ancient legends of heroes, stories to behold Irish eyes smiling, with warmth so bright Nation adorned in shades of green light Three-leafed clover, a symbol of might Pipes and fiddles with melodies grand A chorus of voices fills the Emerald land Thick woolen sweaters to keep out the chill Rivers of laughter, spirits nothing can still Imaginations run wild, with leprechauns at play Copper pots shimmering, where treasures may lay Knotted shamrocks, good fortune they bring Stories echoing with the voices that sing Drumbeats resounding, hearts pounding in time As dancers take flight, a spectacle sublime Yearly traditions forever we'll hold, Saint Patrick's Day stories, in green and in gold lINE COUNT: 16 Lines WRITTEN FOR: "The Bard's Hall Contest" |
