Sorry it's been a while.

My friend went on for an operation today my time. She is going to lose 60% of her liver. But it's her bile duct they are most interested in. I have been keeping in touch with her (thank goodness for modern technology and video calls costing nothing) and have been nervous all day.

I have written a little bit - my minimum on some days (500 words) - and today I churned out some stuff, but I am too distracted.

For those who have been reading this and noticed a 4-day gap, sorry.

I'll try to do better in future.
