| Number 21 Hmm - Missed a day - what to blog about this Tuesday? National Television Day? We no longer have our TV hooked to satellite. That's right - no cable here - no direct hookup to any kind of TV service. You have to have some sort of satellite for TV viewing. And then, it's not a given for local programming. So a few years ago we decided with the hike in rates for directv, and them not even telling us ahead what that hike would be, we would ditch it. I mean, we only really watched a few channels. We aren't big sports fans, or news watchers. Why have a bazillion choices when you only watched at most 5 ro 6? Now all my entertainment comes from online channels. Hulu, Apple TV, Peacock, Discovery. That's about it. And I can get into Netflix with a friend's password, which is a no-no it seems. Ooops. But I'm sure there are a million people that do that. On every one of those sites. I don't miss TV, but I do miss the old time TV programs. The innocent programs I knew growing up.   . .  |
