Just things that I think about now and then. |
A summer of laughter, A summer of bliss; Rose petals scattered across the room. We thought we'd have forever to share our love. Who knew that the last rose of summer Would be the last time we held each other close; That it would mark the ending of a chapter Brought to a shrieking halt? The pain, so intense; Oh God! How can I bear it? Why have You done this to me? I raise my hands in anger and frustration. The wooden sarcophagus lays bare, There are no more roses for it; I stare at it, feeling empty, Barren, forsaken, forgotten. A summer of laughter, A summer of bliss; Rose petals scattered across the room. We thought we'd have forever to share our love. But only until the last rose of summer. LC - 21 Written for:
