A fantasy of love on the mountain fulfilled

Clad in my red and white choir robes,
The thoughts of you fill my mind between songs.
During the sermon I feel my watch vibrate.
The message is from you.

I'm here, the message reads.
Another one vibrates my wrist.
I am in the back of the church, and I'll be waiting.
Could it be? Could you be here for me?

I've played it out in my mind.
I'd come down from the loft
And see your handsome face
Smiling, waiting for me.

But is this really happening?
Did I doze off and come to?
Are you really on this mountain
Inside this church with me?

The service ends and I run downstairs.
You're sitting in the very back.
I walk toward you and say, "My love."
You turn and smile; it melts me.

I run to you as you stand.
You pull me close and kiss me.
"Come with me to put away my robes,
And I am all yours, my love."

You follow me downstairs,
Then out the back hallway.
You're parked in the far lot.
My car is closer.

"Get in the back seat,
I know where to go."
I drive to a secluded spot
Near the wood.

I crawl in the back
And into your arms.
You kiss me hard
Like never before.

"I have something to tell you."
"What is it, my love?"
"I am all yours, my angel.
I'll never let you go."

My prayers answered,
I wrap my arms around you.
Free to love me completely,
You make love to me.

Full of passion,
Warm with love,
You are finally mine
And mine alone.

You will never be lonely.
You will always be wanted.
In my arms you are safe.
In my heart you are loved.
