Broken

One of those feeling a bit raw poetry sessions.

Broken

Sun is shining
Skies are blue
All I am is sorrow
Because I lost you.

My joy has emptied
I’ve lost all care
Sad and unfulfilled
Now your no longer there

The words were wrong
Those what I did say
I am so bereft
That I pushed you away

Until I recover
This heart to mend and heal
I’ll have to regret what we had
Time to forget how I feel

When the time comes
And the road moves on
Under new stars
I’ll forgive that you’re gone

Until that new day
When I cross the finish line
Ache my heart will
But soon I’ll be fine

So if you feel the same way
And your counting the cost
In life we struggle and fight
Some are won but this ones Lost.
