I really liked this as it drew forth memories (some similar, some different) out from the cobwebbed corners in my mind.

That being said, I'd like to offer a few suggestions that would possibly take this from very good to exceptional. Just my opinions, thoughts.

I think some punctuation would add immeasurably to this poem as, as the way tis currently, one gets a bit lost midway down, about where the crocheting runs off the back of the couches. The 'story' had been unfolding with the crocheting, then becomes more of a list. . .

Possibly playing with this some more would let you continue the knitting analogy (which is great, btw) and/or share the memories in more than a list which would then add even a bigger punch to the last line!!!

Still and all, a really good poem. ~fyn
