Showing vs. Telling
So far in my writing, I am just telling what happened. Making summaries about what took place in conversations and events. Is this common to do in NaNo, or just first drafts in general? I keep thinking, this is going to be a HUGE pain to edit, and that I should just try harder to do more showing, but I am not feeling it. I just want to get the story out. Am I going to be kicking myself later? Does anyone else do this? I've never completed a novel before.
