Noticing Newbies

My name is Joshua and I'm new to the site. I've been writing stories since I was in gradeschool. I have had a few published online, all flash fiction, and when I try to write a longer story it never gets noticed. I have a hard time sticking with a story because I usually talk myself out of working on it ("This is stupid, no one will read this" type of stuff). When I do finish a story I never leave it alone, I am always working on it, especially when I send a story off and it is declined I usually start changing things in the story. I have many unfinished stories, and the ones that I have finished I have a hard time knowing if they're good, crap, or a little bit of both.

I look forward to reading other people's works on this site as well as posting my own and see what sort of feedback I get. Honestly, good review or bad, I'll probably just be happy that someone else has read the story.
