Who sold Jesus short? At least that seems to sum up the questions and gist of the message for me. Whenever I was present at one of Jesus miracles, and I went to hear Jesus as much as possible, I noticed that His enemies were there too. Those Pharisees, Levites, Saduccees, Priests, members of the Sanhedrin, they were all there. They wanted to keep a close eye on Him. They looked to see if He would break the law in any possible way so they could bring an accusation against Him. They even questioned Him about the law, but nobody could say anything against what Jesus did, because He didn't do anything wrong. Whenever those Pharisees would question Him about a point of the law, I would come home and read it for myself, just as father always taught me. Do you know what I found? I found the law just exactly the way Jesus presented it, no different. Did this make the Pharisees angry? You bet, because they were handing out their brand of the law. I remember the day when Jesus called them all white washed sepulchers, hypocrites, more interested in being seen than being right. When He was done with them I was ready to give a shout to God. I knew if I did those guys would have given me the eye, and then I would be in trouble. Trouble was something I wanted to avoid if possible. Yet I was so darned pleased by what Jesus said to them that I just wanted to run, skip, jump, shout and scream at the top of my lungs that Jesus is Messiah, but He had warned us that the time to do that hadn't come yet. So I waited, watched, and waited some more. I know that someday those Pharisees and their whole crowd will get what's coming to them. Even King David said in the Psalms that the wicked have their day. I just need to learn patience.
