Nice job, Elaine--Your character is indeed intriguing. I can tell that you have done much research into the life of a wealthy Gentile woman during this time in history. You said some interesting things in your own profile of Elaine and who she really is. You brought up a good point about sin and Christ's horrendous task of taking all our sins upon himself. It should make one stop and think before they act. "What would Jesus think if I did this? Would he see my sin? That's embarrassing. I don't want Jesus to see my sin. Would it cause one more pound from the hammer on the nail in his hand? Would it tear another piece of flesh from his back as he is scourged?" If people, including me, would just THINK before they act. |
