This is very well written, Valerie, both from your character's point of view and your own point of view. Your character has known the Law all her life, but when Hope encountered John, she had the wisdom of her childhood to be able to recognize that the prophecies of the Messiah were upon her, now, in her time. Many did not see it or accept it, and 2000 years later are still blind.

Like you, being raised in Parochial School, I figured I knew my Bible pretty good. Huh...Bud's adventures are proving how ignorant I truly am. This particular adventure is alive with characters and sights and sounds of 28 AD Israel. I feel like I'm actually there. Awesome!!
