Saying Goodbye.
Saying goodbye is never easy. I have made a friend from Bosnia and he head back home in a few days. Their is nothing more precious than being able to discover that friendship is not a function of where you are from or where you are going to.

He was the truck driver and we often kidded each other about how I would take over for him. We joked about how I was the one with the eagle eye security guard who would keep everyone safe. We both shared a chuckle when a dock door was opened with a truck full of pallets. I would make sure no one stole even one of those pallets. He shared with several the silliness of what I said.

We were different in a spiritual sense and then again maybe not so different. We care about family and having fun. We liked to talk about how I would make a good soccer player and I never hardly played. There was forever a smile and high five or fist pump. I guess the best a person can do is live with the memory and share it with others, knowing the same love that brang you together can bring you back together again.
