Day to day stuff....a memoir without order.

So sad...
My heart breaks for the victims and their families in Japan. I cannot imagine what an earthquake that size would be like, and then to have tsunamis and aftershocks continuing to occur. Add to that the nuclear power problems, it makes me wonder whether we should continue approving our nuclear power plants.

California has earthquakes and nuclear power plants...playing with fire, if you ask me. Solar, wind, and hydro seem the only plausible solutions. We should quit approving any new nuclear plants and stop re-licensing old ones. Really, forty years for a nuclear plant is old enough. Why, we don't even want to drive a car over ten years old, and NASA has sense enough to know the shuttles need to be retired now. It's my life, and I don't like politicians playing with it on a whim *Frown*.

It is still windy here and chilly at night so I compromised and set out one of my tomato plants *Smile* *Thumbsup*. I'll see how it does for a week and plop the other two in the ground next weekend.

I swept the pine pollen out of the backporch today...gag, cough! Between the hard rains and wind, it should be all gone from the trees. The porch furniture had to be beaten, wiped, and cleaned, but at least I can sit down now without getting up with a yellow butt*Blush*.

I'm trying to get used to losing an hour today. I got up earlier than normal and refuse to take the nap my inner clock is telling me to. I should be very sleepy by bedtime*Sleep*.

*Bird*Prayers for Japan...

until next time...c
