Day to day stuff....a memoir without order. |
You know the rest. It has been raining for two days now with a real deluge around the witching hour last night complete with thunder and lightning. Enough already! A while back I blogged about the murder of a 21 year old college student, Saleha Huuda, killed not too far from where I live. Yesterday, police arrested her former boyfriend and his new girlfriend as the prime suspects and charged them with the murder. The warrant according to a news report listed damaging dna evidence at the scene, a statement by his brother implicating the boyfriend, cell phone pings in the area at the time of the crime, and a camera video of the girlfriend buying gasoline in a gas can near the scene. The body was burned beyond recognition. Pretty damning evidence, if you ask me. Three cheers for the police force, and it only took a little over a month. There are some very evil people out there. It makes you want to stay home with your doors locked. The market was very good to me today. My stock (XEL) had a spread of 21 cents and by buying and selling three times, I made a total of 27 cents a share, a lucky day for sure. Since the press has been banned from the streets of Cairo, I guess what the market does not know cannot hurt it. Christiane Amanpour (sic) interviewed Mubarek and his new vice president on CBS tonight. That lady has nerves of steel. She deserves an award. It does seem strange, though, that the protestors do not want their side of the story told and would ban the press...hmmm. I'm still trying to come up with a tasty meatless supper.... until next time....c |
