Day to day stuff....a memoir without order. |
Thumbsdown on the starfruit. I found it to be completely tasteless. And mine did not look like a star...maybe it was a fake starfruit?? Jim had labwork this afternoon. We will get results tomorrow, just routine. So this morning (did I mention I play the stockmarket almost everyday?) I thought I had bought wrong, being under some time restrictions, but when we got back home, my stock was up and I made my usual, today 11 cents. I play one particular stock so I know it very well, as well as anyone can considering thousands and thousands of others are playing against me. I buy 2000 shares at a particular price and sell it for anything I can get over 6 cents, clearing at least $100 after fees (I trade with Ameritrade). I've been doing this since 2003 and average around $15,000 a year...not too bad for a hobby. It really does not matter whether the market is up, down or sideways but sideways is best. then sometimes you can trade more than once a day I must say I am really enjoying my Sunrise Class over at New Horizons. The instructors are so smart and helpful and good writers as well. I feel I am learning things I will use for a very long time, things that I'm hoping will make me a better communicator and a better writer. Our current assignment is on figurative speech, similes and metaphors. I did get a little carried away, though, and need to learn to curb my appetite for them....but they can be so cute... ![]() I was going back to the booksale this evening (it was the last day) but they closed at 6 and there was no time. It was 10 cent day, too ![]() The World Series is on WITHOUT THE PHILLIES. I am rooting all the way for Texas. I know I'm mean.... Till next time......c |
